A Very Small Quilt Show

You might know her as a printmaker, but it turns out Laura Brown is also obsessed with turning discarded textiles into quilts! She has spent the last two years at a residency at North House Folk School in Grand Marais making quilts and in this new, very small show, she is going to share a few of those quilts with you.

Stop by to see what she’s been up to recently, and maybe get roped into helping with a current quilting project or bring your own for some side-by-side sewing (or any small, lap-based craft).

Printmaking with Curiosity Studio

Let’s get together (virtually) and make prints! Art is a way to process what we notice and experience, and I love using the process of printmaking to slow down and notice our surroundings. These days there is SO MUCH to process, it is overwhelming. But there is a lot of beauty, too, especially in the spring. Take some time to zoom in on those budding trees, the changing shadows, the shapes of melting snow. We will use these details as inspiration for making block prints together. Please sign up in advance for shipping of materials. Kits are available for pick up locally.

A link to join this virtual class will be sent to you before class starts.
